With the Approach of Eid al-Adha, Karimat Elola Foundation Announces Availability of Udhiyah Vouchers in Egypt

As Eid al-Adha approaches, Karimat Elola Foundation, considered one of the best organizations offering Udhiyah (sacrifice) vouchers in Egypt, announces the availability of direct Udhiyah voucher purchases. It also allows multiple individuals to share one voucher and jointly donate an Udhiyah.

The price of a local Udhiyah voucher is 8,500 EGP, with the local Udhiyah weighing approximately 27 kilograms. Donors receive 9 kg of pure, local beef. This makes it one of the most affordable and best Udhiyah vouchers in Egypt. The rest of the meat is distributed during the Eid days to beneficiaries across the country to bring joy to their hearts.

What is an Udhiyah Voucher?

An Udhiyah voucher is an official contract between the sacrificer (the person offering the Udhiyah) and the executor (an authorized organization assigned to carry out the slaughter and distribution on their behalf).

Conditions for a Valid Udhiyah Voucher

To ensure the Udhiyah is valid and rewarded by God, the following conditions must be met:

1. Reasons to Use an Udhiyah Voucher:

  • The sacrificer does not have enough time to personally perform the slaughter.
  • The sacrificer is unsure who the legitimate beneficiaries of the meat are.
  • A suitable location for slaughter is not available.

2. Conditions for Delegation:

  • The agent must adhere to Islamic conditions:
    • Age of the animal: Must be of appropriate age per Islamic rulings.
    • Health of the animal: Must be free of defects.
    • Timing: Slaughter must occur after Eid prayer and before sunset on the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah (4th day of Tashreeq).
    • Distribution: Should go to the rightful beneficiaries. It can be divided into one-third for the poor, one-third for relatives, and one-third for the owner.
    • Agent’s Fee: The agent cannot take any meat but is paid separately for services.

Is Donating an Udhiyah Voucher Considered a Valid Udhiyah?

Many Muslims ask whether donating via a voucher counts as a real Udhiyah or just charity.

According to Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta, it is valid. The sacrificer need not perform or witness the slaughter. It can be done on their behalf by an authorized person or organization. In all cases, the sacrificer receives the full reward of the Udhiyah.

Best Organization for Udhiyah Vouchers in Egypt

Karimat Elola Foundation is recognized as one of the top organizations offering Udhiyah vouchers in Egypt. It has a proven track record through its events, statistics, and competitive voucher prices in light of rising meat costs in 2025.

Karimat Elola is a non-profit organization that facilitates the process of buying, slaughtering, and distributing Udhiyah meat. It offers a complete service including selecting animals, employing professional butchers, preparing the meat, and distributing it to the poor and needy.

The organization plays a crucial role in easing the process for donors and ensuring the needy receive fresh, lawful meat. It ensures all religious and health regulations are strictly followed.

How is the Udhiyah Meat Divided?

Islamic schools of thought differ slightly:

  • Hanafi and Hanbali schools: Divide into three parts — one-third for the poor, one-third for the donor, and one-third as gifts.
  • Shafi’i school: Prefer giving most of the meat to the poor while the donor consumes only a small portion.
  • Maliki school: No fixed division. The donor may eat, give away, or gift as they see fit.

Why Do Some Muslims Prefer Udhiyah Vouchers?

Udhiyah vouchers offer convenience — eliminating the need to buy, slaughter, and distribute the sacrifice personally. Trusted charitable organizations ensure compliance with Islamic rulings and deliver the meat to rightful recipients.

Charities also offer different voucher options — local or imported meat, installment payments, or digital/electronic vouchers — making it easier for Muslims to participate.
